Live link up to Halley
The recently-installed Internet connection
to Halley enabled a live video and audio link-up with the 2006 Halley winterers
assembled in the bar. The audio connection used a conference phone at each end.
The video connection was achieved with webcams at each end and MSN Messenger software,
which also enabled text messages to be exchanged.
Local time at Halley was GMT. i.e. 1 hour earlier than in the UK which was on BST.
